Over the summer months, Nike Golf launched a highly successful social campaign using the hashtag #DontSleepOnSummer. In preparation for fall & winter, they launched another campaign using #TheresAlwaysBetter. It’s all about getting out in the elements and putting in practice. Because no matter how good you are, there’s always better. Next year, the U.S. Open will be held at Chambers Bay just outside of Tacoma, WA. It brings back the British links-style feel the U.S. Open and is highly regarded as a difficult course among golfers. Nike felt this would be a great place to shoot new social content for the campaign. It was a blistering 80 degrees and clear skies during the pre-production walk-through, the day before. Not the type of weather you want when you’re shooting for fall and winter. Thankfully, the next day Washington did what it does best and brought in the clouds. We had a full day of shooting and it was incredibly fun. These are some of my favorite images I’ve shot for Nike thus far.
