Quigley (Los Angeles, CA)

Quigley
The first time I saw Quigley was through my good friend, Sara Kiesling, years ago. She was one person I really wanted to work with. I took a trip to Los Angeles right after New Years and set up a shoot with her the day I arrived. It was a rad shoot. The next day I was supposed to be joining two of my other friends and their models for a day trip out to the sand dunes. Unfortunately, the model I had planned for that bailed last minute (I found out while I was shooting with Quigley). I asked Quigley if she would like to tag along instead and shoot some more. Thankfully she had that day off and so she put together a few more looks and we were ready for the dunes. It’s about a 2-3 hour drive out to the dunes from LA so planning to arrive at the right time for light can be sort of tricky. We ended up getting there a little later than we wanted to so we had to work quickly. Thankfully, she was able to do her own hair & makeup so we started shooting right away. This was my first time shooting in sand dunes and I freaking loved it. The light and colors out there are incredible. We were able to shoot three looks before the sun passed down below the horizon. Then began the long trek home.
